My practice is built around painting as a way to work with perception through form, motion and color.

Painting is not approached as representation, but as a process of isolating form, registering movement and shaping presence.

Rather than constructing scenes or narratives, I focus on how form exists on its own, detached from context and scale.

Volha Belevets — visual artist, born in Belarus and currently based in the Canary Islands.

Trained as an architect, she gradually moved toward painting, bringing a structural and spatial way of thinking into her practice.

Form, rhythm and material presence play a central role in her work.

Alongside painting, Belevets works with color in space, using it to shift perception and atmosphere.
